Maglev Technologies is a backend software group founded by game industry veterans focusing primarily on mobile and pc games.  Our exclusive HeartBeat software has been meticulously developed in-house where we redefined the standard of LiveOps game analytics.  Now, game developers of all sizes can build and scale their game monetization strategy using far fewer engineers than ever.

Problem

Once a game is developed and launched in the stores, it needs to be monitored live by the backend group to onboard players, enhance the experience, entice player spending, and ensure player retention.  Most backend software out there now is cumbersome, complicated, inefficient, and hard to integrate and deploy.  Current solutions require a handful of engineers, which can be more than the indie developer can afford.

Solution

This part of the equation is critical.  Maglev is offering a next level backend solution called HeartBeat.  It is a robust platform with a focus on LiveOps — it is feature-packed, competitively priced, intuitive, efficient, and can easily be deployed on any game or app, and be managed by as few as two.

Sales Channels

HeartBeat will be sold directly to game developers, publishers, and integrators.  We will also sell at GDC (Game Developers Conference) and other high-profile events.  We expect additional sales through referrals.

Marketing Activities

Our plan is to reach out and demonstrate HeartBeat’s class-leading features and remarkable ease of use through comparison demo videos on our YouTube channel, Facebook, and Instagram socials.  We’ll also use live events, LinkedIn direct messaging, leadership posts, and our website company blog.

Revenue

Customers using the HeartBeat software for their backend solution will be billed three ways:
     1.  Annual license fee.  Can opt for a monthly license free, but more expensive.
     2. Support subscription.
     3. Server usage fees based on:
a. Compute numbers
b. Traffic
C. CDN – Content Delivery Network

Expenses

Server costs cloud:  dedicated & co-location costs and support engineers’ salaries.  Regular business fixed expenses.

MILESTONES

The license fees are scalable based on clients’ user numbers.  The cost per user for a game with 1,000 daily active users is higher per user than a game with 100,000 daily active users.

Independent developers have an extensive network in IDGN (Indie Game Developers Network).  There are many forums for indie developers to share their experience.  Angels and publishers finance the development of these games.
